It's time once again to replace the main tires on the Pulsar. Seems like I have to do this every 160 - 200 hours. I have 5x5 on the mains and tried di fferent brand tires to see what lasts the longest. I haven't tried the Mich elin yet because of the cost and was wondering if anyone else has. At this point it's worth it to pay more if I don't have to change them so often. An y experience with these tires? =C2- Thanks, Barry Norman

Barry, I have the Michelins and love them. They do last a long time but you pay more for them. I will be replacing them soon, and I am looking at some new tires from Dresser. They are less than half the price of the Michelins so it will be an experiment. Michelins are great tires, put them on and forget about them. Greg In a message dated 6/6/2012 12:31:35 P.M. There was one of the regular EAA Webinars several months ago by Mike Busch covering tires in detail..all the main brands (not Lamb) all the unique manufacturer=99s design features...the criticality of maintaining correct pressures etc....Michelins generally came out on top for new tires both in price and performance, but my recollection is that he was recommending retreads (Dresser I think) for most of his gaggle of Cessna, Piper and Cirrus managed GA aircraft. Better wear and better value. Might be worth looking at the Webinar archives?
