I have the same auto pilot in my XP.- I think of it as a copilot that all
ows me to spend more time watching for traffic and do a better job of manag
ing overall flight operations.- I have the large wheel option with Lamb t
ires.- The original tires are approaching 500 total landings.- I have A
zusa drum brakes with Sonex heavy wall drums.- I attribute long life-of
tires being related to good wheel alignment and low available breaking ene
rgy for stopping the aircraft.- If it were not for the retrofit rework in
volved, I would go to hydraulic brakes.- Good luck with your up coming fl

I installed dressers some time ago. I have 0 landings on those and I am loo
king forward to start to collect # of landings with those. Wings are sanded
, I added reinforcement (18" x 3") under wings and currently playing with b
ondo. It is coming together slowly!

Barry, I have the Michelins and love them. They do last a long time but you
pay more for them.-I will be replacing them soon, and I am looking at so
me new tires from Dresser. They are less than half the price of the Micheli
ns so-it will be an experiment. Michelins are great tires, put them on an
