nics.com=0ASubject: Pulsar-List: Fw: Engines=0A =0A =0AI am about to purcha
se the engine for my Pulsar III and thought I'd poll the =0Acombined intell
igence of this group before moving forward.=0A=0AThe choices for me are eit
her a Rotax 912ULiS or Jabiru 3300 but I also need a =0Afire wall forward k
it. I asked Lockwood for a FWF kit and they seem to only =0Ahave the engin
e.=0A=0ASo, question one is between the Rotax and the Jabiru. Each has adv
antages and a =0Adisadvantages, some of which depends on your point of view
, but the biggest =0Aquestion is about reliability. A browse of the intern
et indicates that some =0Afolks are having reliability issues with the Jabi
ru but posts on this site say =0Aotherwise. I would appreciate hearing fro
m the Jabiru crowd about any =0Amaintenance issues with the 3300, or perhap
s good things to say about it. The =0A912ULiS is new so there is a concern
about how reliable it will be and whether =0ARotax has worked out all the
bugs.=0A=0AThe second question is about sources, who sells engines with fir
e wall forward =0Akits? Apparently Lockwood doesn't. Jabiru has the FWF k
it so that's another =0Aplus in their favor.=0A =0ABest Regards, Bill=0A
