I have a person interested in my plane. He is tall in the torso and needs
to increase the head room. I remember that some cut the seat board differe
ntly and gained some head room. Can anyone tell me how much improvement ca
n be gained? He needs about 2".
Thanks for your help!

Premould a bottom pan like they do in race cars & expensive sports cars
seats, then cut out the flat bottom of the seat and mould in a basin
effect bottom giving him the 2" don't forget the padding thickness.

Doug, as I recall, the seat lowering thing did give two inches. I do not
have the instructions but from memory, the seat bottom which normally
connects to the seat back where both meet the floor is shorten so that the seat
bottom hits the floor several inches in front of the seat back. Perhaps
others that have done the process can better describe what is done.

Doug,
I built mine with the extra headroom and Greg is correct, the seat bottoms are
on the bottom of the fuselage about 2-3 inches from the seat back. I' m close
enough that you can come see what I did.
