    Subject: Warning, Friday runway closed
          
      I just got a phone call from the Lawrence airport FBO. They are finishing  
      some work on the runways and both runways will be closed Friday, August 30, 
      to  apply a surface coat to the runway intersection. This will not impact us 
      as  things will be open Saturday when we are at the airport, and everything 
      is open  Thursday. 
      
      Just make sure your arrival is Thursday, August 29. If, for any reason, you 
       have to fly in Friday, Please call me and I will see what we can arrange. 
      We do  have a couple of alternatives within 25 miles of Lawrence.
      
      Just a small glitch, but please call me if this a problem.
