Hi,
I have successfully used a product called Scratch Off in the UK but I know
its from the US. You get a kit of foam discs and pads for an electric drill
plus several different grades of cutting paste and polish - you might need
some fine wet and dry paper which is available in another kit.. I have used
it to remove deep scratches and just to polish my RV9 canopy. You just need
to be patient with it, but it does work. You will get covered in cutting
paste though!
Regards
Martin

I have a Pulsar III which I started from a virgin kit. Airplane has about 80 hrs
on it and has been sold to a fellow aviator out of Minnesota. Waiting for weather
window to fly it back to him. Anyway, depending on the depth of the scratch
you can use a Micro scratch remover kit. I can give you details if you want.
It takes a LONG time to do the repair but usually comes out pretty good. I
cracked my first canopy and had to have another one pulled. Can you provide high
resolution pics of the damage and there may be others who can give you advice
as well. I am located in Moses Lake, Washington. You can contact me directly
at 509 766-3979 (Jackson Flight Center) or 206 819-2352 Cell. or lwheat2083@gmail.com.
Cheers, Larry

the aircraft from Oregon to my home in Poway, California. I've been
pretty isolated on building my craft but I'm not unfamiliar to fiberglass and
composite work. I'm about 80-85% complete. However, Had an unfortunate mishap
that caused major scrapes and deep scratches on various areas of the canopy. I
tried to repair the deep scrapes but seem to have made it worse by using fine
wet/dry sandpaper. Any suggestions? Can plexiglass be smoothed out and scratches
removed? Ideas would be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone on the group going to SunNFun this year? We will be attending, for
the first time, and hope we get the chance to talk with other Pulsar owners.

Not this year, but for sure 2015. Making plans to retire - moving to SE GA
, an easy flight to Lakeland.

If this is the Pulsar that I think it has a beautiful pant
job with an Eagle design on it. I looked at this Pulsar
some time back. The builder did not intent to fly it,
although he might have said he did. He loved the building
and his friends at the airport. It looked to me that the
construction was good although he added rear windows and
did not install them correctly. They should have been
flush instead of mounted on the inside. If this is not
the Pulsar I saw disregard my comments.

Yup that is the Pulsar. At 70 yrs young I just didnt feel comfortable flying it.
The new owner is MUCH younger and better equipped mentally than I am. I now
am the proud owner of a Jabiru 250 (which is what I was working toward in the
first place) and am in a much better place. We are going to deliver the plane
to Minnesota and the weather is NOT cooperating. The new owner is getting ansy
about getting his new charge, I dont blame him a bit, I would be too. Anyway
it will eventually get there and a new adventure begins. Cheers, Larry
