I have a canopy that sticks about half way down the track, i have very lightly
filed the tracks but still not satisfied any suggestions?

A little more input would help. There's one track on the cowl, and
one track on either side of the cabin area. Where is it binding?

Plain old garden variety wax. I have used candle wax bees wax. Works.

Check the track with a go - no go gauge, if this is OK - then see if there
is a high spot between the canopy and fuselage with marking blue, also check
if the front slide is running freely ?
