OK, I didn't make it to Lawrence but I did fly from Clovis, NM to Houston a week ago to be able to take my bride to the fly-in. Weather did us poorly so we couldn't fly to KS. I just made it back to Clovis, my home away from home. On my takeoff roll, I noticed a low airspeed indication. My plane sat outside one night during the torrential rains a week ago so I'm guessing I have some moisture in the pitot system. The static seems fine with good altimeter readings. Also, both static ports have a loop upwards to keep water from coming in. I have a mechanical and a digital ASI and both agree with each other but read extremely high or extremely low (or about right at times). Now that I'm back in the high desert with nowhere to go for a few days, I'm going to see if it simply dries out by itself. Jim N623JF

Back in ABQ (KAEG). Landed mid-afternoon and had my first chip with salsa within 45 minutes. It was great to see everyone; thanks Greg and Donna for all the work putting things together!
