A friend of mine turned his Tennie Two into a weather vane for his friends building.
It works great.

It seems like it was only a short time ago that we met at one of the Lawrence gatherings,
but it was actually more like 17 years ago. It was fun meeting up with
other Pulsar builders that had been corresponding with each other during the
years of our respective building projects.
I decided last year to hang up my goggles too, although I am still a few years
younger than you at 77. It wasnt a sudden decision, but I had been feeling less
inclined to go flying for a variety of reasons. Actually It was virtually impossible
to get a BFR in my Pulsar because the regulatory environment here insists
that the instructor doing the BFR must be rated in the aircraft. The fact
is that there arent any. It just seemed dumb to me to have to rent a different
aircraft, say a C152, to do the BFR, and then never fly it again for another
two years. But, many of our regulations are dumb!
Having sold my Pulsar [after moving it into the microlight category for the new
owner], I am not sad about my decision. I enjoyed the building process, I enjoyed
corresponding with, and meeting other Pulsar builders, and I enjoyed flying
more than 500 hours in one of the best performing aeroplanes around.
I am contemplating what to do with my other aeroplane, the little Flitzer. I would
like to fly it but I wont. It could be a lawn ornament too, or maybe [it is
small enough] just hang it from the ceiling. On the other hand, some younger
enthusiast might be dying to launch forth in it. Who knows.
So another phase of our lives is over. But we are not confined to the old rocking
chair yet. Ive been cycling in earnest again, going to the gym 2 or 3 times
a week, and I participated in the World Masters Games on the velodrome just a
couple of months ago. That was a lot of fun too.
