Subject: | Pulsar XP Component Parts Sale |
After major airframe damage to Pulsar N912GR following a night time landing
accident, I have devoted time to a new project which requires a larger engine.
I have the following XP components available for sale - Chicago area.
$8,000.00 (firm)
Rotax 912-UL engine (545 Hrs) certified by Rotax repair center for meeting
standards for crankshaft run-out and distortion (Eng log entries). Gear box
inspected also for damage following prop strike...clutch shim pressure re-
quired no readjustment. Engine compartment undamaged from accident
following a prop strike. Options include SkyTec starter and oil thermostat.
Engine accessories like oil reservoir and voltage regulator included. Always
run on Mobil One 4T synthetic, fuel - auto 87 with less than 20 hrs on 100LL.
Cyl compression checks at 170 lbs with small variation. This engine not
affected by the latest mandatory Rotax service bulletin - sodium filled valves.
Included are 3 Exhaust systems:
1. Custom 316SS straight pipe sytem built by Aircraft Exhaust Inc.
Weighs only 6.4 lbs and features closed ends with flutted holes
around the last 12 inches of tail pipe..only slightly louder than
other heavier systems that are prone to stress crack failure. I
found the system to be satisfactory with noise cancelling head sets.
Original cost $883.00 (if sold seperately - $500.00)
2. Mild steel 2 can system by Aero Designs (heavy with uneven concentrated
mass leading to stress cracks).
3. 316SS 2 can system by Sky Star (lighter in weight...suffered same stress
crack problem).
Other items available: Grove alum. ldg gear (internal brake lines) $900, formed
flap skins and rib mtrl $800, undamaged flush riveted ailerons $400 each,
undamaged canopy crafted to closely fit $1,000, undamaged horizontal
stabilizers with attached elevators (removable) $300 each, wheels &
brake calipers sold.
