Usually, there are two to three events during the week. Last year was Mon,
Wed, and Fri, but that is subject to change. Previous years there were also
some on the Sat and Sun before.
The crowds start arriving after the airshow daily and some hang around until
early evening to socialize even on the nights without dinners. There's
plenty of opportunities to meet other RV-10 builders. Even if you just
need a place to crash and find some shade during the day, you're bound to
find one or two other builders doing the same.

I hope they avoid the 28th as the Young Eagles dinner is that evening and it
is quite difficult to get to both.

Wow, and I thought that was a typo on the schedule that you were camping.
:) I unfortunately won't be this year, just too much going on. Heck, I'
m 500 and some messages behind on the list right now! I'm thinking we need
a small nuclear battery to sustain the RV-10 pilots gadgets this year. BT
W, hope everyone has their water over flight kits for coming into OSH this
year, we are already over twice the average rainfall for July and have seve
ral days of forecast rain for this week. I've seen roads flooded around he
re in the last week that I haven't seen flooded in 20 years.
Bob, got your message, I'll drop down probably tomorrow morning with the
coffee maker, bug spray, and mower. Amy has the truck today so no way to g
et the mower in her Jetta. I'm probably going to be there a couple days th
is week and then Mon/Tues next week.

This is the 1st year for us to camp, and we've got a couple of questions fo
r the 'repeat offenders'
Can you count on being able to purchase food, milk, meat, ice, etc to cook
from the store/near the campsite? Or is it limited to 'essentials'.
Where can you charge cell phones/laptops/ipads etc?

know where to get the manifold, or have a parts list? I scoured Deems site
and got lots of good pics of what it should look like, just don't know where
to get the stuff to install, or make myself.

Deems did his w/o a manifold. You may want to consider his approach which
will save you much weight (Manifold is heavy) plus I have my Manifold pick
up in the air box which is correct for flying but may be an issue during
ground ops where you may actually crate a slight vacuum in the system.
My condolences on your James cowl.

Looking for the general consensus, 5 point harness for the rear seats or 4
point?

Staking out of sites for this year has been completed. Our RV-10 group is located
just off Lindbergh between 53rd and 54th. We are about 100 feet south of
Lindberg this year rather than being right on the street. Rather than organizing
our group in 2 long rows like last year, we've spread over 3 rows to keep
all our sites on the high ground. The low lying areas are swampy enough that
you get splashing when you walk through them. The high ground is doing well enough
that Class As are parking with no issue.
We again have a large open area and have acquired 4 picnic tables and so far have
5 10x10 canopies for our community to use. The grass is pretty long in Scholler
but Michael Sausen has generously offered use of his lawnmower for use by
those that want to mow their sites.
Even though it has been very wet here for the last couple of weeks, the crowd is
much larger than I've seen in recent years. Part of that might be because of
people avoiding the low lying areas where it's still swampy.
The field is still fairly wet and they aren't yet parking planes in the normal
(HBP and North 40) areas. I did however see 4 planes in the N40 area this afternoon.
Most planes are along the showplane area along the hard surfaces. There
isn't a specific target to start moving them but I assume that it's being
figured out...
