Hi Marcos, I built a Buttercup fuselage using 4130 and ER70S2 filler rods. It was a while ago so I am not sure of the filler rod sizes I used but I think I used 1/16 for most of the work. The filler rod should be selected for the thickness of the pieces being joined. Marcos, I=92d recommend ER70 and .050 diameter weld rod Less the chance of cold welds. ER 70 will alloy with 4130 and give a better weld. I have been flying my 601HD for 11 years now. I soon want to take my grandson for his first ride. I have the original 3-point lap/shoulder belts provided by ZAC, but the should harnass is very long. Even for myself it is near the full range of adjustment. There is no way to tighten then enough for a 5 year old. I have looked for belt adjusters/tighteners on the web but there don't seem to be any available. Anyone have a suggestion/solution other than replacing the belts? Thanks

You might want to consider using a booster seat for him. Would help him see out the windows anyway. On Fri, Sep 5, 2014 at 10:02 AM, GERALD A. You could try extra seat cushions on both the seat bottom and back to bring him up and forward. He probably wont be able to see out the canopy very well with the standard cushions anyway. I have the Zenith supplied 3-point Hooker harnesses in my plane and I dont recall there being any limit in how tight you can adjust them. -- Bryan Martin N61BM, CH 601 XL, RAM Subaru, Stratus re-drive.
