George,
What school are you representing?
Where are you located?
What program within the school is this project assigned to?
A little info will go along way to helping folks feel comfortable with your request..

Greetings all,
This was posted to the homebuilt list this morning,
and I think Sid got it right, so I am cross posting it
here.
This smells like a scam to me.

Thank you all for replying on the e-mail and especially to the ones that
donated some materials.
Just short explanation to all of you that got so egger to argue and protect
your rights.
We are academic and student group from the Mechanical University in
Macedonia.
(Republic of Macedonia)
This project is done in close with aero club "SKOPJE".
The basic of the project is to expand the knowledge of construction and
building to the students and everybody interested in. We are under funded
and not able to bye all the necessary materials.
That is the reason we are not looking for a specific plan or material but
anything will work out fine. So basically the point is not to reproduce the
project but just in practical way to explain the possibilities that one
thing can be done in different way.
All of you that are interested I can provide you with the contacts of the
University and the leaders of the project.
Hope this mail will clear my name in this chat group.
All best
Georgi

Nothing to do with Kolbs so if you feel strongly about such things DELETE
NOW.
aero club "SKOPJE".>>
The word Skopje made me sit up. About 30 years ago there was a very bad
earthquake in the Skopje area. I was a member of Round Table (a sort of
junior Rotary) at that time.
One Table member was a cameraman for the BBC and when he returned from
covering the earthquake he gave a talk to the Club and said that refugees
were living in tents and winter was coming on. Some bright spark suggested
that the Club buy a caravan and that members should tow it to Skopje and
hand it over to the Red Cross.
In a bout 2 weeks dozens of Round Table Clubs throughout England had bought
caravans, arranged to take holidays from work, said goodbye to their wives
and families and headed off for Europe.
The Government agreed to pay the fares on the cross Channel ferry. They
thought there would only be half a dozen. In the event there were more than
a hundred and governments being the same the world over they tried to get
out of paying.
This great convoy of caravans was met by local Round Table members as they
progressed across the Continent. Providing food, repairs for some caravans
that were disintegrating, showing short cuts around cities etc., untill they
arrived en masse in Skopje. There the `vans were unhitched and handed over
to the Red Cross and the Tablers just turned around and drove home.
It was one of the things of which I was most proud to be associated during
my 15 years or so as a member of Round Table.
Under the rules everyone is kicked out of Table at the age of 40 so it was
all a very long time ago.
Cheers
Pat

Pat,
In the USA, when most pilots hear the word "caravan" they think of the
big Cessna Turboprop. Americans call caravans trailers. This was part
of my education in the English language by my English son-in-law who is
from Carlisle. We've abused the mother tongue in so many ways that a
book could be written on it, and probably already has been.

Pat,
I too was thinking you were talking about the Caravan 675 from Cessna. I
thought, why don't they just fly them over?
After Thom's post it made since you were talking about camper trailers.

Hi Tom,
Thanks. I should have remembered that.
It struck me after I sent the message that it is possible that some of the
people involved in their project may owe their lives to our little
adventure. Or more likely may have heard of it.
We all enjoyed the whole thing and it was a tremendous boost for the Round
Table movement.

Hi Will,
at that time I dont think the net worth of our entire Club would have made a
down payment on a Cessna Caravan..
Stupid me!

WARNING - NOT Kolb Related!!
In the spirit of better communication among the various English
speaking countries, and others who graciously use our language for
communicating with us, because most of us are barely monolingual, the
following link might help us to understand each other better. At the
very least it is entertaining and at times quite funny.

Kolb related or not, it's great fun. Thanks, Thom. I have a
British/Canadian background and really enjoyed poking around in the
definitions. Lar. Do not Archive.

Well, You're a bit of an upstart aern't you! Now for me, I am and have been
referred to by many that know me as: bolshie, a Bounder, a dago, but we
Italians are called that not the Spanish! Now you Brits may call this yank a
bit of a gormless, but under sports you only have seven. No wonder you're so
bored! And why so many have become "trainwatchers", duh! Just follow
railroad tracks (insider information). And I thought American bird watchers
were a bored bunch. HA, HA! And if your words are proper 'English" why does
my spell checker dislike your spelling, and for that matter, why hasn't the
web site been updated since Nov 2005?
Though I am a yank, I have been around a bunch of yardie's, yobbo's and
waster's in my life. Never a luvvie, by choice. But somehow the good Lord
above pulled me through it and now I get to hang with a batch of educated
fly-boys! Now that's America.
Ya gottta love that site. Thanks Thom (American would be Tom, Thomas,
Tommy).

Have lived with the split between the Queens english and "Murican" all my
life. The first thing that struck me about the posting was how did you end
up named after Lord Voldemort?
