Where can I get a pair of the Guden GGS22-030-K gas springs? Mine are starting to have a hard time keeping one of the doors open?

While we're at it, what is recommended for the TR-1? I also have one
that is not keeping the door open.

Galin,

You are welcome to the two that I have since I will probably not use them. Current plan is to buy a set of four matched for my installation. (If I ever get back to work on it that is.)

Galin,

Are you using just one 30lb spring per door?  If so, you may do better with 40lb. springs.

Bob,

Is that Texas heat holding you up?  In Fl my garage gets so hot at times, after 20 minutes I have to quit and jump in the pool.

The gas struts that came with my kit, in 93, were not strong enough. I think
they are Supra rated at 25#, I refilled them in a Nitrogen cylinder and it
boosted them to 35/40#'s and they have held up for several years.

No, HELL is holding me up. With only two days below 100 degrees in the last two months it's impossible to even work in my shop which has a window unit. The best I can get the temp down to is about 90 degrees if I leave the unit running all night. The unit works when the temps stay in the 90's but with night time lows in the mid 80's it just too hot. Can't even consider working at the hangar. Hopefully by mid-September I can restart since the gutting and rebuild on the kitchen is finally complete.

The issue now is time and money which are both in very short supply.

Hello Galin, See here:

If your order is too small to be accepted over the net try the telephone.
They have been always very helpful and gracious to me on the phone even when
just ordering two struts.
