I'm at the seat belt installation stage with my TR-4 and it looks like the only option is to use 4 point shoulder and lap straps. They would have to be anchored in the ceiling above the seat backs.  How did some of you handle this installation?
Photos would help.
Thanks,
Al Rosa

That's what I'm talking about but I can't make out the method of anchoring.

Al, I used tinnerman washers and a lot of fiberglass cloth. After blending it in you can not notice the “lump” on the out side of the fuselage.

Building up the outside of the fuselage sounds a little extreme.  I think what I'll do is build up a portion of the "roll bar"structure on the inside ceiling and fill it with flox mixture from a hole drilled in the outside skin.  then it would be solid enough to take a bolt through the "roll bar" from front to back and not penetrate to the outside.

By the way, I decided on a non retractable 1 piece lap/shoulder belt anchored at 3 points like most cars are equipped.
I was thinking of a retractable belt but read that they have to be mounted on the vertical and wont work roof mounted.

I'll send pics when finished.
Thanks,
Al
