|
I spent Saturday and Sunday fine tuning the fit of the upper cowling and drilling the 38 holes for the rivets and installing said rivets and then filling the holes with filler and then block sanding the entire upper cowling. Today I painted the primer on the inside and outside of the upper cowling. First two coats: self etching primer; followed by 2 coats of an epoxy filler primer. Tomorrow the inside gets painted white Imron. Prepping to paint is a lot of work. Painting is easy. The only part I don't like is cleaning the gun.

Hi Gary
Thanks for the update. After we checked the clearance are you going to put a heat shield on the Power Flow where it come close to the cowling? Also wanted to mention that if there is any way, still would like the front fork painted, even flat black works for me, but it is such a mess it needs your TLC.
Thanks
Bill
