Hi All,
I have attached photo's of the spraybooth I set up in the hangar made of 2x4's and 6 mil plastic sheeting. The extractor is made from an old fan and the filter material is 2 inch thick batting that I found at a local fabric store, it stopped everything and lasted a long time and was cheap.
I used Stewart systems water based paint. Generally it worked well but was expensive and as somebody said it is very temperamental. I used a water based paint as I started in a friend's basement and did not want to risk anything that is flammable. I recently helped a friend who is using non waterbased auto finish and it is much easier to get a good finish.
Even after color sanding in certain areas I cannot get a deep shine.
Keep well
Mike
