If one day you find your Europa with fuel leaking out as I did don't assume it's the fuel tank like I did.
I just completed a air pressure test at 2psi like the service bulletin suggests. At first pressure came down rather fast but a soap test revealed the capacitance gauge unit bolts were loose, tighten em up then it was not leaking at all.
So what caused the tank to empty out almost completely? Not sure yet maybe the sight gauge tube? I'm still working on that but the tank holds pressure.
I was so certain it was a tank crack I installed the aluminum oval lid as per Dave Disney/Miles McCullum's Mod 8, it is great to have access to inspect the tank so no regrets. One less obstacle.

Well I hope that my leak is what I think. If my tank gets 3/4 full the fuel level is up into the rubber filler hose and drips fuel. Replacing the hose clamp didn’t help so I’m going to replace the rubber filler hose today.

I hope it is what you think it is! My original 2" fill hose was not leaking but where the fuel pooled in the elbow it had degraded and was near failure, now have the aluminum elbow from a thoughtful Tim Ward ( Thanks Tim ).
The red strip rubber fill hose is actually fine if you replace it when it degrades.
If my fuel tank actually had a crack I would have used the Tech-Bond Solutions PTFE repair patch along with the mod - 8 tank inspection panel, allowing access to the internal space in the tank for inspection/repair. They claim the PTFE patch is resistant to all fuels and will last for ever. They take phone calls and support was good.
The other choice's plastic welding like Dave Disney did, or a tank replacement.

You are very welcome dmac. The smell was the giveaway for me, early after the first flight. In fact 23years ago!
