Beefy Mains
Is it just me or does this gear look like it came off of an F14? Some major beef here, that's for sure. Landing on the mains was very sweet. Just heard a simple "chirp, chirp" and gently settled down. The retractable landing gear, along with the brakes, flaps, and starter are all run off of compressed air. There is a lot of "psssting" and "shusshing" that can be heard at various times during the flight. I thought at first it was the Tri-tips working their way around, but later I came to my senses...

Radial Power
I got to play line-boy and run the prop through a few times to clear the oil out of the lower cylinders. After about 10 turns or so, a few shots of prime were applied and the prop run through a few more times. After that, a touch of the pneumatic starter she fired right up and sounded, well, just beautiful! Interestingly, our cruise RPM was only about 2150 and at a modest 16 GPH.
